During the year, students have the opportunity to participate in Exams and Competitions.
You will be notified via email as these dates arise.
EXAMS
On Offer:
We will be offering exams in the following:

NZAMD Jazz

NZAMD Tap

NZAMD Contemporary

NZAMD Ballet

GLENN WOOD Tap
Note:
We will work on exams within our scheduled time, no extra classes added unless advised otherwise.
Exam fees are separate to THESPA fees, as these are an external cost. You will be invoiced at the time.
Cost may vary between Grade level and dance style.
CYP
If students wish to sit NZAMD contemporary syllabus this is can be an option. At the time of Exam preparations, the class will be combined with either junior or senior company (depending on grade) during the time of learning the syllabus. Exam preparation will not begin until much later in the year, however the technique and skills required for the exam will be taught as part of every class.
Privates
THESPA offers private lessons for solos in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, & Singing. These are for any student who wishes to prepare for a solo, or for more focused individual learning time. Please click here to head over to our Privates page.
We are able to choreograph new dances for those that need it. If you receive solos & private lessons from us, we ask that you dance exclusively with THESPA and represent us and your team at these competitions.
